Open conference on Surface Analytics and Methods SANAM 2011

It is our pleasure to announce that the Julius Maximilian University Würzburg organizes an Open Conference on Surface Analytics and Methods (SANAM 2011) from 28th of April 2011 to 29th of April 2011 in Würzburg, Germany. Within the frame of a workshop/summer school several internationally acknowledged scientists will provide an extensive insight in various methods and applications in modern Surface Science, as e.g. photoemission, scanning probe, structural analysis and microscopy.
The Open Conference has the character of a workshop and shall bring together young researchers with established scientists for a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas. The meeting will take place in the Toskanasaal of the famous Wuerzburg Residence, part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage and is organized by the Chair for Experimental Physics 7.
In addition to the invited talks and lectures, there will be a poster session where all participants can present their work (details see website/flyer). On the second day, there will be the chance to visit several experimental laboratories at the Hubland campus, including facilities for electron microscopy (TEM, REM), high-resolution photoemission spectroscopy (PES), and scanning probe microscopy (STM, AFM)
Open Conference on Contamination/Decontamination
AVTF organizes an open conference on contamination/ decontamination thematic (for agenda and contact information »see flyer) in Annecy on September 13th in the frame of the SPAM project.
Number of participants is limited and the participation is open in priority to S.P.A.M. members and inscription is free of charge. If you intend to come, please send a registration email to Frédérique Faveyrolles before August, 5 (for contact information, see the flyer)
6th International FRINGE workshop on Advanced optical metrology
In addition to the regular Fringe Workshop 2009 (see »flyer and »Fringe Homepage) the Institut für Technische Optik ( »ITO) is offering a special workshop "Surface metrology with special emphasis to Line Edge Rougness" for SPAM-members.
Fringe is from 14.09.200 to 16.09.2009 in Nürtingen (Germany).
The SPAM-workshop will be on Wednesday September 16.
The presentations for SPAM-workshop will be 15 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion.
Conference Fee:
- 460 € for SPAM-Workshop and Fringe 2009
- 150 € for SPAM-Workshop only
